Allen and I purchased this property in 1971 and started A & M Greenhouse and Nursery. Over the years, as we transformed old bike trails into gardens paths and utilized the land to showcase our landscaping capabilities, The A & M Gardens emerged. About twelve years after opening, our customers began to ask if we offered weddings in the gardens. We were honored and began welcoming brides on a weekly basis. In 2002, after 31 years, we retired from the nursery business. The showroom became the backup plan in case of bad weather for our weddings in The Gardens. Eventually the showroom changed from the backup plan to a banquet facility for the receptions and the rest is history…so much for retiring.

In 2007, tragedy struck and we began construction on our new and improved banquet facility. We designed the new facility with the knowledge and experience from past years of weddings and events. We expanded the building to 6400 sq ft, added a larger dance floor and state of the art sound system. We believe ambience is the key to any event and we paid special attention to the small details, from the beautiful chandeliers to the natural light brought in by the wall of windows. We are proud of our new facility and feel confident that you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Allen and I are celebrating 40 years together as a couple with 37 of those years as business partners. Although some marvel at the thought of working together, for us it has been a blessing. We are fortunate to have wonderful friends and family, rewarding business ventures and the ability to sit on the patio and enjoy our amazing views. Life is good.

I think the best part of my job is when our guests take their first look at the Gardens. Even with all the pictures on the website or descriptions from friends, it does not compare to seeing it in person. People always tell me how lucky I’m to work in such a beautiful place and I could not agree more. Not only are the grounds amazing, but I’m able to help make such a special day in a couple’s life a success.
